Founded in 2022 by director and lead builder Rod McIntosh, we combine two decades of hands-on construction experience with a genuine commitment to quality and local craftsmanship, from the first design meeting through to the day your building lands on site.
Our Story
Rod McIntosh spent 20 years in construction before founding Noosa Pods. That experience shapes everything we do, from the way we design buildings to the local tradespeople we work with and the standard we hold every build to.
Noosa Pods was built around a simple idea: that transportable buildings don't have to be a compromise. With the right design process, a trusted local team, and honest pricing, you can get a building that performs, looks great, and lasts, without the stress of managing multiple contractors or chasing council approvals yourself.
Every pod we produce is built at our Sunshine Coast facility, using local tradespeople we trust and materials sourced close to home. We keep our operation deliberate rather than high volume, so every project gets the quality of attention it deserves
How We Work and Why It Matters
Rod is involved in every project, from initial consultation through to delivery and installation. Every building is architect-designed and structurally engineered before a single frame goes up. Every quote is fixed and all-inclusive, no surprises, no hidden costs, no fine print.
We build entirely on the Sunshine Coast, using local tradespeople who understand the climate, the terrain, and the council requirements that come with building in this region. What you can expect is a high quality product, built and backed by tradesmen who know this region and stand by their work.
Materials are sourced locally where possible, and every build meets and exceeds current Australian building codes, not because we have to, but because that's the standard we've always worked to.
